- Q. Is the HOG Fly and Ride the same as a rental?
- A. Yes, HOG Fly and Ride is now part of Orlando Harley-Davidson Rentals an Authorized Harley-Davidson Rental location. To make a reservation or for more information, please call 407-423-0346 x 2102 or email us at rentals@orlandoharley.com.
- Q. Should I reserve in advance or can I walk in for a rental?
- A. We have bikes available on a daily basis. We do strongly recommend advance reservation to ensure we have the bike of your choice. In normal rental season at least 2 weeks is sufficient, during Bikeweek or Biketoberfest we recommend at least 3 to 6 months.
- Q. What is the Helmet Law in Florida?
- A. State Law is over 21 years of age with $10,000 of health insurance helmets are not required. HOWEVER, ANY DRIVER OR PASSENGER MUST WEAR A DOT APPROVED HELMET WHILE ON OUR RENTAL MOTORCYCLE’S
- Q. Can I rent a motorcycle on a permit?
- A. No, All renters and additional drivers of the motorcycle are required to have the proper motorcycle endorsement from their State or Country of residence.
- Q. What does a “rental day” consist of?
- A. A rental day is 24 hours from the point of pick up. Keep in mind their may be some situations where you will not be able to keep the motorcycle a full 24 hours. No credit or refund is given for this.
- Q. Do you offer after hours motorcycle returns?
- A. No, we do not. All rentals must be returned during our business hours.
- Q. Does my motorcycle, auto or credit card insurance cover me on a rental motorcycle?
- A. Do not make this assumption, in most cases they do not. We recommend that you check with your insurance/credit card company prior to arrival for your rental.
- Q. What is your cancellation policy?
- A. We require a 24 hour cancellation notice or there is a $50 charge. The only exception would be due to poor weather, in which a courtesy call is greatly appreciated. During special events (Bikeweek Biketoberfest) there is a 14 day cancellation policy.
- Q. How does the security deposit work?
- A. When you pick up the rental we will authorize your credit card for security deposit. The minimum deposit is $1000. We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX or Discover. We strongly discourage the use of Visa Debit cards as this will effect your balance in your checking account temporarily. Security deposits may take 7-30 days to release depending on your cardholder agreement. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASH FOR SECURITY DEPOSITS.
- Q. Am I allowed to have passengers on the rental.
- A. Yes, they need to be present at the point of rental to sign appropriate paperwork and be issued a helmet.
- Q. Am I allowed to let someone ride the motorcycle?
- A. Yes, they must be present at the time of rental to be added onto the contract. There is a $5 charge for an additional driver and they must meet all rental requirements. UNAUTHORIZED DRIVERS WILL RESULT IN THE CONTRACT AND INSURANCE/DAMAGE WAIVER BEING VOIDED.
- Q. How far are you away from Orlando International Airport?
- A. We are located 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport and do offer shuttle service for rental customers at the Historic Factory Dealership only. We do not offer shuttle service from Orlando/Sanford Airport.
- Q. Can I leave my car parked at your dealership while I am on the rental motorcycle?
- A. Yes you can, however Orlando Harley-Davidson assumes no responsibility for vehicles left overnight.
